Education

What does peace need to exist? Even if war will always exist, it doesn’t mean that it can’t be reduced into a really small portion of the state of war and peace. One of the factors that make peace be a larger fraction is education. If people are thought how to be civilized and solve dispute in more peaceful ways others than guns and killing, war will maintain in a really small piece of the state and that is where, without a doubt, want to live.
One major fear I have regarding this solution, is that it might become the main problem. Humans are ruled by money, and let’s say that our main goal as a civilization is to be as peaceful as possible, but what happens when both of this are combined, will it create a mentality where making peace equals making money? This kind of situation will only lead to problems.
We have to really understand what peace is about in order to teach it correctly.

First Thoughts

So what is peace? Many would say that peace is tranquility, or when everything is clam, but for me, peace is the absence of war and/or disturbance. Nature states that in order for a force to exist there also exists an equal and opposing force. Thinking thoroughly, you will see that everything we know about has an opposite coexisting. For example, light has as its opposing darkness, good was evil as it’s opposite, therefore peace has to have an opposing which is war. If everything has to have an opposite then I think that means that both opposing make one thing and idea. In this case, peace and war have to be the same thing because they make up a state. In order for peace to exist there has to exist war in another place and in order for war to exist peace has to exist somewhere else. War is the absence of peace and peace is the absence of war, but if one ceases to exist then the other one cannot exist by itself. Can happiness exist by itself? Can light exist without darkness? Every single thing has to have its opposite. When people say that they are in a total state of peace they lie because that would mean that disturbance in them doesn’t exist, and consequently neither peace would exist. Complete peace is something that is impossible, a thought of a Utopia, something unattainable, something that we will should know we will not attain, but something that definitely is something worth, ironically, fighting for.
